60GHz Mobile Imaging Radar

Sept. 2014 - Jun. 2017 | SAND Lab, UCSB
60GHz Mobile Imaging Radar
  1. Designed and developed a mobile imaging system to detect the object's location, surface boundary, curvature, and its material, without the aid of phase information and purely based on RSS.
  2. Leveraged 60GHz networking radios (with phased array) rather than specialized hardware for imaging.
  3. Invented noise-tolerable imaging algorithms, leveraging the robustness and high directionality of 60GHz radio waves.

Binary Stochastic Implementation of Digital Logic

Nov. 2012 - Jul. 2014 | University of Minnesota Twin Cities
Binary Stochastic Implementation of Digital Logic
  1. Developed a computational method named binary stochastic that maintains high fault tolerance and low computing latency.
  2. Implemented an encoding algorithm and designed a polynomial hardware structure for the binary stochastic computational method.
